Fourth of July fireworks are an American tradition. While many fireworks festivals have been canceled due to social distancing, Belclaire families can still celebrate Independence Day. The skies over some North Texas areas will still light up and Dallas Morning News has rounded up a list of area locations where families can see a festive light show.
Saturday June 27, the city of Dallas joined Klyde Warren Park to host a pre-Fourth fireworks event for front-line health care workers and their families. The park lawn will be reserved for them on an invite-only basis, but the 9:30 p.m. display will be visible throughout the surrounding area. The fireworks will be taped and shown on July 4 at 10:35 p.m. on KTVT-TV (Channel 11).
Fireworks will launch in the vicinity of The Five Star Complex, 4100 Blair Oaks Dr. Watch from your vehicle. Parking opens at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Simultaneous displays will go on at about 9:30 p.m. at Little Elm Park, 701 W. Eldorado Pkwy., and near Little Elm High School, 1900 Walker Ln. Both events are ticketed and parking will be limited due to social distancing. Purchase tickets here.
Fireworks will launch from Craig Ranch Soccer Park, 6375 Collin McKinney Pkwy. Gates open at 8:30 p.m. and visitors are asked to respect social distancing.
Fireworks begin at 9:20 p.m. from Panther Island, 395 Purcey St. Remote viewing only as Panther Island Pavilion will be closed and surrounding streets will be barricaded for safety.
